Baltic TCG — Event Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct applies to everyone attending events at Baltic TCG, including League Nights, Trade Day, Prereleases, Auctions, Vendor Takeovers, and any sanctioned Play! Pokémon tournaments.

1. Our commitment

Baltic TCG is committed to running events that are safe, welcoming, and fair for everyone — including the children and young people who regularly attend our League Nights and events.

2. Expected behaviour

All attendees are expected to:

  • Treat staff, other players, and vendors with respect

  • Play fairly and follow the official rules of the game being played (e.g. Play! Pokémon Tournament Rules Handbook for sanctioned events)

  • Resolve disagreements calmly and bring any dispute to a member of staff rather than handling it themselves

  • Follow staff instructions, particularly around store layout, queuing, and event timing

3. Not tolerated

We do not tolerate:

  • Abusive, threatening, or discriminatory language or behaviour of any kind

  • Cheating, deck manipulation, or deliberate rules violations

  • Theft or attempted theft of cards, products, or personal property

  • Harassment of any attendee, including unwanted contact with minors by adults

  • Trading, buying, or selling outside the agreed rules of an event (e.g. unauthorised side-trading during a sanctioned tournament where this is against official rules)

Breach of this Code may result in a warning, removal from the event without refund, or a ban from future events, at our discretion. Serious incidents (theft, threats, safeguarding concerns) will be reported to the police as appropriate.

4. Young people at our events

Many of our regular events, particularly League Nights, are attended by children and teenagers, sometimes without a parent/guardian remaining on-site.

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for arranging collection and understanding our advertised event start and finish times

  • Staff will not take a young person off-site for any reason

  • Any adult attendee should avoid being alone with a young person they don't otherwise know, and should raise any concern about another attendee's behaviour with a staff member immediately

  • If you have any concern about the welfare of a young person at one of our events, please tell a member of staff straight away, or contact us directly

5. Photography and social media

We sometimes take photos or video at events for our Instagram, TikTok, and Discord. If you (or your child) would prefer not to be included in photos we post publicly, please let a member of staff know before or during the event and we will respect that.

6. Sanctioned tournament play

For official Play! Pokémon (or equivalent) sanctioned events, the relevant organisation's own rules and conduct policies take precedence for matters of tournament legality, deck checks, and penalties. This Code of Conduct applies in addition to, not instead of, those rules.
